Active runners and students compete under the “club name” LG Erlangen together with athletes from other Erlangen clubs (e.g., TV 1848 Erlangen and TB 1888 Erlangen) and also train with them. The LG Erlangen (LGE for short) running club has been in existence since 1969/1970.

The “fourth group” consists of volunteers who enjoy organizing great events in large teams or who are involved in awarding sports badges, as well as passive members.

You don't have to work at Siemens to become a member! We offer our active members a lot (training with qualified instructors, our own events, our own sports grounds, etc.) – so come by, try it out, and become a member! Schoolchildren are especially welcome. For decades, we have organized the traditional Walter Knauer Indoor Sports Festival for them. The Johnny Cup school run, formerly organized as a spring event, is now offered as a winter cross-country run. We currently employ a total of four trainers for approximately 120 members.
